We at Foster Garvey are pleased to announce our attorneys' involvement in the upcoming 2023 Spring Conference for the Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys (WSAMA). This conference promises to be a valuable opportunity for municipal attorneys from across the state to come together and exchange insights and ideas.
Marc Greenough will take the stage during the civil session on April 20 to present "A Series of Unfortunate Events: A Brief History of Failed Municipal Bond Issues in Washington and Lessons for a City Attorney" from 2:30 - 3:00 pm. With his extensive experience in municipal law, Marc's session is expected to provide valuable guidance for city attorneys navigating the complexities of municipal bond issues.
In addition, our team at Foster Garvey will be well-represented during the joint session with an ethics presentation by Steve DiJulio, Lee Marchisio and Adrian Winder, along with Darcey Eilers, Assistant City Attorney at the City of Kirkland. Titled "Ethics," this session is scheduled for April 20 from 9:15-10:15 AM and is set to earn attendees 1 ethics CLE credit. This panel of Foster Garvey attorneys will contribute their experience and insights to the ethical considerations of attendees.
Tom Ahearne will also present during the civil session on April 20. His session, titled "Dissing, Doxing and Misinformation: What Is a Public Official To Do?," will delve into the challenges faced by public officials in the age of social media and misinformation, and is expected to earn attendees .75 CLE credits.
With a total of 9.75 CLE credits (civil track) or 9.75 credits (criminal track) available for attendees, along with an additional 3.50 CLE credits from the Municipal Attorney Bootcamp, the WSAMA Spring Conference promises to be a rich educational experience for municipal attorneys looking to further their professional development.
