Michael S. Brunet, Alyssa A. Melter and Jared Van Kirk will speak at the Association of Washington Cities’ (AWC) 2025 Labor Relations Institute. This premier annual training is designed for public sector professionals who represent management in labor relations and human resources.
The team will present the session, “Real Life Good (and Bad) Faith,” which will examine the obligation to engage in labor relations in good faith. The presenters will discuss how these requirements apply in practice, particularly in negotiations, drawing on real-world experience and decisions from the Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC). The session will also address how to identify and respond to allegations of bad faith or challenges posed by counterparties acting in bad faith.
