Foster Garvey is pleased to welcome Carrie Lofts, who has joined the firm's Commercial, IP & Transactions and Business & Corporate Finance practices as an Associate in Spokane.
Carrie’s diverse experience includes advising clients in business and corporate, intellectual property, banking and finance, and real estate matters.
Carrie joins the firm from Witherspoon Kelley where she began as a summer associate. She previously worked alongside the in-house legal team at Rover.com and, prior to attending law school, worked in social services as a dedicated advocate for foster care youth in Alaska.
Carrie is an active member of both the Spokane County Bar Association and Washington State Bar Association and where she serves as the Intellectual Property Section Vice Chair and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section Newsletter Editor for each organization, respectively.
She obtained her J.D., summa cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2019, and her B.A. from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2011. While in law school, Carrie was an editor for the Gonzaga Journal of International Law and received CALI Awards for Excellence in Transactional Skills & Professionalism, Environmental Law, Civil Procedure, and Legal Research & Writing.
