NEW YORK. (Dec. 2, 2024) Foster Garvey is pleased to announce the arrival of Elizabeth Nwabueze as an associate in the firm’s Investment Management group, based in the New York office. Elizabeth is an accomplished investment management attorney with significant experience advising prominent domestic and international asset managers and investors through the complexities of fundraising and regulatory compliance across diverse asset classes, including private credit, private equity, real estate and GP stakes funds, co-investment vehicles and funds-of-one.
Elizabeth joins Foster Garvey from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson where she represented clients on a broad range of asset management transactions. Previously, she served as a tax associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising hedge fund, private equity and banking clients on complex domestic and international tax considerations related to mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and developed strategic tax recommendations to enhance valuations and deal structuring while mitigating tax risks.

Elizabeth earned a law degree from American University Washington College of Law, a Master of Laws in taxation from the New York University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in international studies with a minor in Mandarin Chinese from the University of North Texas.
