Foster Garvey is pleased to announce the arrival of its six members of the Fall 2022 class in the Seattle and Portland offices. Several of the members return to Foster Garvey after previously serving as summer associates and law clerks, and all bring unique perspectives and valuable experience to further bolster the ongoing growth of the firm.

Richard Kim joins the firm’s Seattle office as a Law Clerk in the Investment Management practice. He received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law where he was a Gregoire Fellow. In addition to being a Foster Garvey summer associate during law school, Richard completed a legal externship at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and an internship with Amazon. Richard received his B.S. in Economics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and spent five years in the Army, including serving as an Intelligence Officer for the 1st Special Forces Group at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington. | |
Angelo Marchesini returns to Foster Garvey as an Associate after serving as a clerk at the Washington State Supreme Court, joining the firm’s Litigation practice in Seattle. Prior to graduating summa cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2020, Angelo was a summer associate at legacy firm Garvey Schubert Barer and was a legal extern for Heart of America Northwest, a public interest group concerned with cleaning up the Hanford Nuclear site in Washington state. He earned his B.A., cum laude, in Philosophy from Gonzaga University. | |
Bradley Shepard continues his career with Foster Garvey’s Business & Corporate Finance practice as a Law Clerk in Seattle, having served as a summer associate in the firm’s Spokane office and as a law clerk in the Seattle office. Bradley recently graduated from the University of Washington School of Law and previously served as a legal intern for Seattle healthcare innovation consultancy Intuitive-X. He earned two bachelor’s degrees, summa cum laude, in Speech Communication and Philosophy from Oregon State University. | |
Hannah Talmage returns to Foster Garvey as a Law Clerk in the Labor, Employment & Immigration practice in Seattle. Hannah recently graduated from the University of Washington School of Law, where her activities included serving as the Executive Managing Editor of the Washington International Law Journal and serving as a student attorney at the university’s Federal Tax Clinic. She was previously a legal intern at online pet services platform Rover.com in Seattle. Hannah earned her B.A. in English, Law, Societies and Justice from the University of Washington. | |
Ruby Virk joins the firm’s Investment Management practice as a Law Clerk in Seattle. Ruby recently graduated from Seattle University School of Law, where she was the Executive Editor at Large for the Seattle University Law Review. Before graduating from law school, she completed two terms as a summer associate at a Seattle-based full-service law firm where she gained experience in matters involving complex M&A transactions and commercial disputes. She earned her B.A. in Philosophy and Law, Societies & Justice from the University of Washington. | |
Jocabeth Zarate, a former summer associate, joins as a Law Clerk in Foster Garvey’s Litigation practice in Portland. Jocabeth earned her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. While in law school, she served as Treasurer of the Latinx Law Student Association and received her Community Mediation Certificate. Jocabeth also previously served as a summer clerk at a leading litigation law firm in Portland. She earned her B.S., cum laude, in History from Southern Oregon University. |
