Foster Garvey is pleased to announce Thain D. Simon has joined the firm as an Associate in the Real Estate, Land Use & Environmental group in Spokane. His addition builds on the steady growth of the Spokane office over the past year, representing its fourth attorney hire in the last eight months.
Thain advises clients on the purchase and sale, financing, leasing, and development of commercial real estate projects. He also assists clients in a variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, and contract review and negotiation.
“We are very excited to welcome Thain to the firm,” said Foster Garvey’s Spokane Office Managing Director Jim McNeill. “His arrival exemplifies our continued commitment to growth and deepens the capabilities we offer our clients across the Inland Northwest and beyond.”
Before joining Foster Garvey, Thain was an attorney with Robinson Bradshaw, a full-service regional law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he helped clients in a variety of real estate and corporate transactions.
Thain holds a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law and a Master of Science from the University of Oxford. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University while playing as a member of the school’s Division I varsity baseball team. Prior to law school, Thain gained experience in the technology sector, working in various product and finance roles.
“Thain’s diverse experience enhances our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients,” said Bryan Helfer, leader of the firm’s Real Estate, Land Use & Environmental practice. “We look forward to the unique perspectives and invaluable insights he will bring to our team.”
